Blackpool Anlysis . . .

Most films, The opening scene always focus on the mise en  scene, camera, editing and sound these showed the representation that it created. In this following analysis of the opening scene, it will focus on the main four area's.
Camera; the craneshot was used to portray the revealing of the scene to make it look intresting. At first a medium close up of the two cuples talking, then a close up of a man. A long shot of the family sitting around the table. There was also a reverse shot when it went to one shot to another, focusing on the man then women . The closeness of the family, a wiseshot of them. The father looking at the boyfriend from the edge which was a overshoulder shot, therefor it includes two people.
In some shots husand/wife are seperate which suggests their relation is not close which show a weak bond between them. The several shots of the boyfriend and the daughter together portray they have a strong bond for one another. the husband/wife in bed showed a wide shot of the two couple's, a medium shot; his shows theirs some distance from them and when the women kisse's the guys shoulder, the guy smile's and turns his head around which shows he wasnt bothered and intrested.
Sound; At the begining we hear conversation's and the door banging, the sound of footsteps, the natural movement between the sheets, shouting and the sarcastic laugh. The conversation we link it to too the relationship, windchaws filled the awkward moments and also the noises of footsteps and the birds suggested their relationship was not stable at all. In the opening scene, the dad was honest, very confident/offrotive, he had power which showed he was controlling whereas the mum, she was calm, layed back, her tone was soft, the dad never goes over her words, alwasy listen's to her and is the bridge to the husband and daughter. You could hear the guy's anger which showed age, he's sarcastic with his joke's which suggest's he's up himself.
Mise en Scene; The clothing, the both couple's wearing pink shows their not modern, their outfits co-ordinate with one another and through the colour of their clothing portray their couple's and their dresssed a little younger than their age. Therefor the aughter was aged much older than her age, wasnt dressed like a teenager, she was wearing a suit which made her look smart whereas her boyfriend was dressed casual and relaxed, his jeans suggested he's dressed younger which showed a mild age. The colour of their clothing was dull and normal which show they've switch role's with their parent. However their house is not modern. The room is decorated and it shows their in a higher class. The non-verbal language; the father is looking down at steve and his hands are in his pockets which suggest he doesnt want to shake hands, his body gesture showed he wanst bothered.
Editing; Each character get a close up of themselve's throughout the opening scene which show identity and it also show their reaction to one another. The husband and wife are not closse to one another because in the scene theirs not m uch shots of them together whereas the boyfriend and girlfriend are close because there are several shot of them with one another which show they have a strong bond between them.
However  the mise en scene as overall presentation of the scene and it way of defining age, family and relationship. lighting would be something that is played with to reveal characters, their expressions and emotions, this helps the audience to understand them and define the representation of age, family and relationship between the family. In addition the couple's in the film, their relation is strong but whereas them as a family they have problems with getting along with one another which show a weak bond.
