Short Film

I chose this short film because it's interesting and also it focuses on world events, For example; football and i adore football.

This is a great short film from Israeli filmmakers Eraz Tadmor and Guy Native. Its Set on the border between Israel and the Palestinian territory, It focuses on two Israeli soldiers are patrolling the fence while listening to the World Cup Final on a portable radio. They then come across two Palestinians armed with machine guns.

I chose this video because it's a simple short film and also its original and the story plot is really interesting and the scenes flow well together. However, the audience would prefer to watch short films and to make a good short film i would need good skills by being imaginative and before i  start to think about what i wanna do, i need to be prepared fully.

The Letter: (La Lettre (The Letter), By Michel Gondry)

This is a romance short film and in this film we find a boy who is obsessed with the girl he loves but fretting about making a move on her. His brother's exhortations do not help and young love proves a painful experience in the end.I chose this film because i like the genre and also the story plot is interesting.

A2 MEDIA STUDIE'S:RESEARCH

My first choice would be a music video as it will be interesting. i will also learn something new as I've never tried to make a music video so i think it will be amazing to make a music video of my own working with my peers.
The skills i would need to do this is good imaginative thinking so i have a good music video which the audience would prefer and also to not make it copyright, as in copying other music videos from other singers or other peoples work; so before i start i need to prepare myself and think of what i wanna do and how I'm going to do it.  Preparation is a key skill.

My second choice would be a film/soap trailer as i know how to make one as i done it for AS, i will be confident as i have experienced it before an d also i will know what am doing. However this time i wold make it more interesting and have a good clear meaning to my film. T o make a good opening scene of a soap trailer i need a good scene so the audience has a clear understanding of what is happening and also to do this i will need to prepare myself and make a plan of idea's before i start anything so i know what I'm doing.

My last choice would be a documentary or short film i wouldn't mind to do any of them as they are interesting and also many audiences would prefer it. I think it will be challenging but fun at the same time as its hard to decide what you wanna do. When making a documentary i would need good ideas and also general knowledge of what I'm gonna do and having the responsibility to do what is needed for a successful documentary.

EDiiTING

Editing:
Editing is the process of selecting and preparing written, visual, audible and film media used to convey information through the processes of correction, condensation, organization and other modifications performed with an intention of producing a correct consistent,accurate and complete work.
In todays generation, Editing is quick/cheap and also easy to use.


Analogue Technology . . .

• Initial Editing of all films was done with positive copy of the films, Negative film workprint.
• This was done physically cutting and pasting together pieces of film, Using a splicer and threading the film on a mchine.
• In the past, the use of film positive allowed the director to do as much experiment as he or she wished, Without the risk of damaging the original.

Limitations . . .

• Had to be very skilled to do edit properly
• Fake like: Didnt seem realistic
• Splicing damaged the original, The loss of quality.
• Analog tape can be erased or destroyed accidentally and this can happen at the worst time.

Advantage's  . . .

• The recording does not degrade over time. As long as the numbers can be read, You will always get exactly the same wave.
